use what you've got till you find something better. the weights don't care why you're lifting them and neither does your body care why you're active.

I do this. The only thing is that on days when I'm in a good mood, it can be hard for me to get hyped for a big lift beforehand.

Same here. Can’t hit the rage fueled PRs or get as many reps on a happy day.

I wish. I'm like that Ravenloft werewolf darklord that reverts to his weak human form whenever he gets angry. I always fuck shit up when I'm mad and I have to cool off to achieve my goals.

Probably bad. Anger and hatred actually make me weaker and lose energy. I lift way more and have better stamina when I'm in a good mood and surrounded by hot women.

Terrible for your cortisol levels. Manage your stress, it's there to save you from fucking sabre tooth tigers and shit but outside getting your body ready for that it's shit

Probably bad. Maybe it's okay if it's for one specific task you want to do (e.g. murder your gnomish neighbor), but I wouldn't use that as motivation to keep up with dieting and exercising.

After using hatred for almost 4 years, I almost shot my mom yesterday. Dont do it. It will build up and it WILL explode. This was murderous hatred that seethe and boiled under layers and layers. If my grandad wouldn't have been there to grab my hand at the last second, id be going to prison and probably hell. Dont do it bro.

      >It will build up and it WILL explode
This, also trips of truth. I reached a breaking point and punched a hole in my window and now just avoid interacting with her as much as humanly possible.
When you snap its not a willing thing either, its like electricity going through you its just natural motions as if you aren't in control so thinking "Well I can control the anger" is feasible.

          >dubs of self correction
Noted, enlightened anon. I don't know how I'm supposed to make it out of this never ending death spiral. Right now, I still want to kill her. This is now a constant background thought. I want her dead. I want her to know it was me. I want her to realize all she's done thats made her first born pull a gun on her and try to pull the trigger.

It just won't fucking go away. I want to be free from her and from hatred, but I don't know how. I can't run, I can't crush it, I can't kill it, I can't reason with it. Lifting has done nothing. How do I escape this devil?

Well if it makes you feel any better, I also hate my mother and wish she would just die so you aren't alone.
            >How do I escape this devil?
You don't, that's life. If she died right now you would still hate her just as much as you do now, all you can do for your own piece of mind is dissect how it ended up like that and accept it as what it is and put your thoughts elsewhere. Its a simple but not easy answer, but its the only answer. You will never outlift your own mind.
Also just keep in mind it ain't worth ruining your own life to get revenge when in the grand scheme it won't matter, because again when she dies it isn't going to be some burden taken off of you (emotionally at least, in a literal sense you won't have to be around her anymore physically) like when you kill a mob debuffing you in a game, the memories and emotions stay until you move past them in another way.

    It depends
I use my moms alcoholism and seeing how it fucked her life up as motivation to not drink and live healthier, but the source of that motivation isn't hatred for her its a desire to not have what she does. I do feel anger towards her though, but it isn't the driving motivator.
So I'd say no specifically to the anger, but the things you are angry about are good motivators

It's an age old lesson that while anger and hatred can get you far, love and purpose will get you even farther. You fight FOR something, not against something. That type of motivation is like an endless fountain.

    Bad
Why use any emotion to lift? What happens when the emotion isn't there?

  19. 1 month ago

Bad. That would only be reinforcing negative emotions which is not good for your mental health. Let go of negative thoughts instead of giving them more power. Cultivate wholesome mental states such as acceptance, forgiveness, and love instead.

I get in pointless arguments with people on IST all the time for the test boost. Everyone on this board is retarded and a lesser species than I am, so I harness that for rage gains. It is a fantastic way to boost intensity anon

if the thing you hate will not go away until you are strong enough to destroy it then it is perfectly reasonable to motivate yourself with the hatred, because your hatred will itself be the solution as well as the motivation.
For instance, I hate the antichrist.

You cannot get rid of your mental demons by using rage and hatred, considering those are demons themselves. You have to understand them and accept them fully before letting go of them. Negativity only breeds more negativity. Yes, even accept and love the antichrist if such an entity exists. All things, all beings.

The antichrist is wholly evil and irredeemable by its nature
therefor, to love it is also evil
to hate that which is entirely evil and irredeemable is good
          therefor, I hate the antichrist

It’s awesome. I use spite to power my workouts and I work out harder than anyone else in the gym. U gotta let it go as soon as your done though. Ruminating is pointless and not healthy. Ruminating to let hate make you powerful during your workouts is based though

It's cringe as fuck. Gives cuck vibes tbh. I see all these posts like "Wait until they see me in 5 years" like people actually care about what they do or look like. That girl who dumped you because you're scrawny? She'll think >wow anon, you got hot
And never think of you again. It's the mental equivalent to an adult temper tantrum.

Lift because you want to chase a big number, because you love it, and for God/Allah/The Powers That Be.

So many cum brained kids think that being like zyzz is so cool. Thats effeminate as fuck dude. You wanna look cute for girls? So you can get some quick pussy? Bro, might as well start smoking weed and microdosing LSA. How about you lift so you can build your own house for your future wife and children. Lift so you can build some self respect and discipline.

99% of guys who do this end up looking like twinks with eating disorders like women. Like I said, effeminate as fuck. Get over yourself, learn to meditate, stop jerking off to BLACKED porn and read something, anything for atleast 30 minutes a day. AND DO CARDIO. You're strong, but a 160lbs jujutsu fag can man handle you because you don't have the cardio to keep up.

I suggest "five rings" by Miyamoto Musashi, but if you cant handle nip philosophy head over to

    [...]

or look up IST book suggestion flow chart or something.

    >pic rel, Dokkodo by musashi, really made me want to change my shit up and become the best person I can be.
