1 year ago Reply Anonymous How tall are you? If you are over 6ft, then it *could* be safer to swap out a conventional dead with a hex dead. If you are under 6ft, I would say lift conventionally.
1 year ago Reply Anonymous Yes but use the low handles and don't squat the weight up (hinge like you would with a normal dl) or it just becomes redundant
1 year ago Reply Anonymous I keep reading that TBDL are good for high reps because it's easier to maintain form so don't have to worry about it breaking due to fatigue. I'm thinking of doing my normal conventional sets then use the trap bar for burners. How does this sound?
Yes.

Ask Mark Rippetoe

Yes. A trap bar deadlift is more of a deadlift than sumo
Great choices if you want to deadlift without training your low back
Yes.
Safer and easier technique
