is it possible that some people really cant have their abs to be showing no matter how lean they are?
or maybe they simply didnt try enough?

Looks like your typical machine lifter. Arms look weak compared to his chest. Minimal quad development. Almost no serratus. Limited ab development likely due to using the ab crunch machines.
This is not to meme and say "squats are all you need for abs", but neglecting your compounds makes it more difficult to get stronger core development. He could also probably cut down a bit more.
What's ab crunch machine?
He's ugly bald and shit genetics. Can you believe theres a woman out there who fricks this
He is italian tech jesus. He is famous and rich. Everybody knows him. Basically if you search a tech question in italian he pops up.
yeah bc he pays to be first
tech jesus my ass he just solves problems for boomers who cant turn the volume up
also steals articles from others etc
subhuman cringelord
>italian tech
lol
The guy is only worth between $1-5 million. Italy doesn't have a tech scene to speak of
>only
Why are you talking as if you have that sort of money?
Jeez, what a fricking loser, he only has 1-5 million.
Yes I can. Easily far worse in the world. He could be ugly, fat, bald, a whiny pussy, not italian, and poor.
But he is bald and ugly, though I guess that's redundant.
probably right. looks like a formerly unathletic nerd took steroids and hit the bowflex hard.
>looks like a formerly unathletic nerd took steroids
Many such cases, they always look comical.
For once he ops pic looks truly natty. No idea what you guys are talking about.
so is there hope for everyone if they want a 6pack or no??
There isn't. Some people just don't have good ab genetics, but you won't know until you reach substantial training times (e.g. 1+ years). I'm just pointing out why OP's pic is not a good example to use.
>or maybe they simply didnt try enough
this
>t. morons
If youre lean enough, your abs will show, unless you are so sedentary that you literally have zero muscle on your core. Ive only known one guy who was rail thin without abs. Do your compounds. Heavy deadlift, row, ohp especially, will leave you with a beautiful core. Do not waste your time doing sit ups and nonsense. I spent 3 years bulking and doing a lot of ohp, and when i cut down I had the most beautiful set of serratuses known to man
>unless you are so sedentary that you literally have zero muscle on your core
You need more muscle than you think. I cut down to about 11% recently, and my ab definition was shit because I was totally dyel. Advice like this is true for people who have at least a few months of training under their belt, otherwise complete skinnyfat dudes just waste their time cutting with nothing to show.
sounds like your'e a guy who's so sedentary that you have zero muscle on your core. You shouldn't even be cutting as an untrained person for aesthetics. You should cut just to get all the fat off so you can start putting mass on. Of course youll have nothing to show. Skinnyfat - Fat = skinny
>You shouldn't even be cutting as an untrained person for aesthetics
Exactly. I shouldn't have cut, I should have focused on recomp for this period, which is what I'm doing now.
The point is that noobs listen to morons like Doucette who repeatedly spout "if you can't see your abs, you're fat" and so they default to cutting first, which hinders their muscular progress longer than necessary.
On the same token, some dudes have shitty ab genetics and despite cutting down, never really get a 6 pack look, and may wind up with great lower ab vascularity but a 4 pack. It's not to excuse a lack of cutting and not putting in effort, it's a realistic aspect genetics affecting aesthetics.
You still did the right thing. Recomp is a meme. If youre skinnyfat either cut then bulk, or bulk then cut. Greg doucette says that because most fat people think theyll get abs from doing sit-ups, when their only hope is fork-putdowns. Its true some people have the arnold 4pack for life, but you can still have a sick 4pack and some shredded serratuses.
dude cutting then lean bulking or vice versa is way faster than recomping, it's common knowledge you have to do one or the other to lose weight or gain muscle.
>way faster than recomping
Not really. Its way faster in getting overall physique changes, but not necessarily in a good or bad way. Lean bulk, you'll inevitably look bigger, but you'll still put on fat unless you're on an almost negligible surplus. 300 calorie surplus will still eventually warrant a cut, and by the time you reach the end of the cut, you're likely looking at the same time you would for a recomp. For those in the beginner to early-intermediate strength levels (where I am after coming back from a long lifting break), the time difference isn't significant.
can you show me some evidence of someone actually recomping as a natty, if it was a thing everybody would be doing it
can't gain muscle & put on strength(unless you're a complete beginner) unless you're in a surplus. Currently in maintenance and scraping out the same reps everyday.
Start training abs regularly and don’t believe compounds will give you and.
EVERYONE CAN HAVE ABS, omg
6 pack? No. some have 4 pack. Even arnold had 4 pack. It's genetics
but if your abs can show? Fricking yes man. Anyone who tells you differently is basically making a case for obesity
"not everyone can lose weight" and these idiots have no place in this subreddit
>Looks like your typical machine lifter.
First post motherfricking best post. Shit, first sentence best sentence
It's your typical volume lifter is what it is. All these imbalances and general weakness and he just keeps trying to throw more sets at it until something happens but all it does is amplify the imbalance.
I used to believe this shit then I leaned how to properly isolate muscle groups
My abs looked like a butternut squash until I started using the crunch machine, now I have a 6 pack almost 8 soon
checked
Completely disagree. If anything he looks like your typical moronic ‘just train for strength’ guy populating this board and Reddit. Disproportionately large legs, no arms, chest is somewhat developed but not aesthetic, no shoulders. And you guys are all morons his abs are in direct sunlight they’re not even that bad
guys who only train for strength dont end up with no forarms, no traps, no neck, and no obliques like this guy. Thats a body made from machine bench and veganism
I got quite strong at deadlifts and my traps and neck didn't really grow
He's flexing his chest and lats. That makes most dude's traps go away. You can only flex 2 of the 3 at a time.
>disproportionately large legs
Post body u dyel
Compounds barely work the abs in all honesty. They do hit them, but barely.
Add posture. Most people have a habit of sitting all day long and later in their life they take health serious where they already fricked up their posture
>Arms look weak compared to his chest.
This has nothing to do with having a preference for machines over freeweights. The spider physique is not exclusive to one over the other.
This, he should have gone for SS + GOMAD
Do machines really mess you up? I couldn’t afford $40 a month for LA fitness due to moving out of my parents house soon, so I bought a Planet Fitness membership. I’m cutting back all costs as much as possible until I get into my apartment. Am I really fricking myself here even if I do compounds on the smith machines?
I plan on going back to LA fitness once my finances are in order.
No it’s not true. Some morons fall for the “you don’t need to train abs because compounds will train them enough”
meme and have almost no rectus development so they need to be at lower levels of body fat to show any abs (<8%).
There is a reason all mens physique guys train abs regularly, many open bodybuilders as well, Chris Bumstead, Terrance Ruffin, almost everyone who has decent abs in bodybuilding trains them directly. The guy who does the compounds only is the same guy who has the washed out abs on stage.
Lots of guys have underdeveloped abs because they didn’t train them and then think it’s genetics as opposed to realizing it’s because they literally haven’t trained them.
This. Abs are made in the gym, but revealed in the kitchen. If you’re at high bf you won’t see much progress training them, but getting to low bf without training them will leave you disappointed. Find balance.
Anyone can walk around all year with rock hard abs.
Another example of the importance of training neck
What do you mean? They're right there
Yes. Mcgregor is the best example of this IMO
Even when he was absolute skeleton mode cutting for a fight you could only see his abs if he is doing his biggest flex
his tattoo hides it well and he's not even flexing the abs hard probably
Those are some unfortunate genetics.Insertions and proportions all over the place
this guy is like 12% still has a fat, look at his quads, fatty as frick
i bet he cant squat his own vw
Wtf are you guys talking about it’s just bad lighting. If he took a pic like the guys on Instagram I guarantee his abs would look shredded.
First day at the beach.
Lmao pasty White I wonder if he Will ever go again to the beach in summer
i never seen a chinese man look so israeli
rate him 1-10
lol i had no idea he was chinese
His tech guides are god tier. The Lord bless Aranzulla.
You're confusing pics with perfect lighting versus pics with natural lighting. Pic related is what he looks like with bodybuilder lighting.
Yeah definitely a machine body. No stability whatsoever and probably no posterior chain exercises given his awful shoulder and upper back posture.
All this biggest bodybuilders with perfect physiques use machines too. This dude just can't lift. Never progressed a lift. Never went near failure. Probably worries only about volume and periodization and thinks doms is bad.
Yes, if they don't have enough muscle mass
Just started to try hitting abs more. I do compounds and legs raises almost everyday and throw in the crunch machine twice a week. Is that a solid ab routine?
