Is this a scam? It's a service that promises to break you 3 meal prepped meals a day you can reheat for only 5 dollars. Seems too good to be true. Has anyone done a service like this before and if so what's your experience with it? I'm sick of eating rice, grilled chicken, and eggs every day.
https://promo.flexpromeals.com/21meals
>60% rice
>30% frozen veggies
>10% low quality meat
1 meal probably costs them 2$, it's amazing how stupid people are to buy this shit
I understand obviously they're going to be making money off it, but at the same time the convince of not cooking, saving trips on groceries, and having a variety of food is appealing to me.
>UPS
I didn't think about that. I was thinking they'd have their own delivery trucks and hand deliver food. That makes more sense. A bit of a turn off but for 5 dollars to stay a neat and at home I might still do it. Homegym master race.
There's morons who spend that much on a single fast food meal. Having it brought to me is the plus.
macro breakdown isn't impressive whatsoever. not really more cost effective than buying groceries.
if you're on IST right now, im certain you have time to cook for yourself
>5$ for like 400 cals average
>35$ for low quality food a day
Lmaoing hard rn
Imagine being this poor. Must be a european thing.
Imagine eating shit quality, overpriced food. Must be an american thing
>$5 for less than 500 calories worth of food
Are you fricking serious? Take 3 hours once a week and do some actual meal prep, you fricking lazy Black person. Even if you could afford it, that's absolute shit pricing.
At an average of 400 calories and 26g protein for each meal. You'd spend $1k a month on food if you ate 2500 calories a day and at ~26% protein. Meanwhile I eat 3000 calories and ~30-35% protein, all at 40% of that cost.
Make your own goddamn food.
I've been eating two chicken breasts, 2 cups of rice, and a dozen eggs a day. Plus a gallon of milk. I'm tired of it 🙁
Mix it up moron?
Beef
Potatoes
Pasta
Different vegetables
Are you a 50 iq npc?
>beef
inferior to chicken in every way
>potatoes
do I look like an irish Black person? plant proteins are for homosexuals
>pasta
rice carbs are cleaner
>vegetables
Gay
>beef
>inferior to chicken in every way
Stopped reading
50 iq turbo dyel
you know most of the meals in the screenshot included beef, rice, pasta or vegetables? you're going to be eating it either way
So you eat nothing but chicken and rice? What's it like being severely autistic?
>beef
>inferior to chicken in every way
kek
>Take 3 hours once a week
>You'd spend $1k a month on food
>Make your own goddamn food.
Nah. I make roughly $400 an hour so three hours of my time is objectively worth more than a grand.
>$400 an hour
>cant hire a private chef
>still wanting to buy microwave dinners in plastic
Ok, Elon
Lmao imagine not having your wife make this shit. She makes my eggs and chicken and vegetable shake every day for my lunch. When I'm on the last 15 minutes of the treadmill I text her I'm finishing my workout and she bakes salmon. She also shops for everything so we're always stocked. She also makes great cheat stuff like cornbread and cookies and pastries and won tons and pork belly and pasta.
I literally do not know what's in my freezer or fridge because she handles all meal prep. I do not know how our particular washing machine or dryer operates because she handles all of that. Successful division of labor is key to success
Not the $400/hr larper, but I'm not going to get married.
No goyim you need to have your wife work 40+ hours a week, you can't be the sole provider for your family! Please send your kids to daycare and public school, PLEASE!!!!!!
>dumb ass larper also runs on a treadmill in his fantasy
>Is this a scam?
yes, moron
heres a protip for life
if you ever ask "is this a scam" it is a scam
>I was thinking they'd have their own delivery trucks and hand deliver food.
are you literally 13 years old?
>he's never heard of meals on wheels
meals on wheels is funded by both federal and state governments you frickin 13 year old moron get off IST
Bro, that's 80g of protein a day. That's honestly barely subsistence level. Yeah you can add a couple of scoops to weigh it up, but honestly cooking isn't even bad, it's kindda relaxing.
>I understand obviously they're going to be making money off it, but at the same time the convince of not cooking, saving trips on groceries, and having a variety of food is appealing to me.
Might as well buy family meals from fast food restaurants and make meals from the leftovers.
> cares about “meal variety”
ngmi
Based. "Variety" is a false god.
Power through the best, gains maxing diet, period. When you go to eat, eat the best food, simple as.
Reminds me of those Wise Food and other brand emergency kits. They say over 50 servings, when the dehydrated milk and orange drink mixes make up half the servings.
You can buy those drink mixes for $8 and they have 80 servings.
With all due respect, this is literally a horrible idea in all possible ways.
On one hand, it's pretty clear that the meals here are probably worth only $2/ea., as mentions. You could easily do this yourself by boiling a huge bag of broccoli, searing some chicken in a pan, and making some rice in a rice maker, then dividing it out into portions. It'd cost you like $20-ish and would easily count for 10+ of those meals.
More broadly, what's the goal here? If it's a hard cut, maybe, sure, I could see you going extreme and doing something like this. But not cooking is a HUGE mistake, especially if you're trying to get girls. Learning how to cook - and cook well - is wildly attractive to women, far more so than the extra leanness you're gonna get from autistically only eating stuff that's prepackaged for you elsewhere. You're going to get a lot more pussy offering to cook for women than you will trying to come up with some excuse to take off your shirt. And, remember, learning to cook on your own doesn't mean you'll be eating poorly: you could easily hit your macros while also making food that doesn't look like the adult version of babyfood.
Don't get me wrong, I respect the desire to cut here, but you might be looking at this thing a bit wrong.
>Learning how to cook - and cook well - is wildly attractive to women, far more so than the extra leanness
You should check in with your psychiatrist and tell him you forgot to take your meds lmao.
>high gross margin = scam
Communist detected on American soil
15 per day 105 per week 405 per month 5040 per year.... all because i dont like to cook? no thanks.
i do not need UPS involved in my dinners
>15 dollars a day
get fricked moron
they look like shit, just buy frozen meals if you don’t care about quality
What frozen meals would you suggest that are cheap and would meat all my nutrient needs for bodybuilding on?
Yeah this. You get the same amount and quality of food for like $2.
>$5 for 275 calories
>you are expected to live on 3 of these per day
>$450 a month for this shit
>plastic
People like you need to be strung up feeding into this blushing machine
if you rely entirely on them then:
>$25/day (the meals are small)
>9000/year expense (reduce based on food shopping eliminated)
along with low-effort nutritional sources (shakes, eggs, yogurt, oats, etc) then you can sustain a >3000calorie diet pretty easily.
would it be worth it to me? absolutely not. if you meal prep then you're spending a single day a week and have full control of your food. even if i possessed the disposable income, i would just make tastier meals or substitute my meal from time to time with something local as opposed frozen, bland food from the middle of the country.
>YOURS
5 dollars for 1 dollar TV dinners
Are there any frozen dinners FOR body builders?
No, because every bodybuilder has different nutritional needs so they cook their own meals
they only do recurring orders so you can just order food on your schedule. I would have tried it if it wasnt for that.
cant*
>plastic
No thanks
avoid plastic like the plague
zoomers be like "this app let's me buy frozen food at 200% markup! bussin frfr nocap!"
>spending $15 PER DAY on packaged food coated in plastic
Yeah bro sounds like a really good deal you should try it out
LMFAO that dude is short as frick
Anon if you're going to buy expensive pre prepped food at least spring for mealpro. I save them for days where I get tied down too much to meal prep
>I'm sick of eating rice, grilled chicken, and eggs every day.
Have you considered not eating rice, grilled chicken and eggs everyday?
So I looked at the plan. For one week you get 21 meals that are all between 250 and 400 calories. So three meals a day and you might crack 1000 calories a day, for $105 a week.
>Sleeve
>Douchy tank top
Without even really thinking about the service itself, I can tell you it's a scam and this guy is a fitness grifter.
Kek thank you shill, for ensuring I will never touch this shit. Was on the fence too.
Are you moronic? Like loads of basic foods are cheap as shit. You could also go to a whole foods hotbar and get chicken breast, veggies, quinoa for $15 a day
>$5 per meal
>more affordable
It's only $5 per meal for your first week. After that, the price goes up. None of these meal prep companies online can afford to sell you $5 meals and still be profitable. They have to pay labor, food costs, packaging costs, and shipping costs then you have to factor in marketing costs too.
A better idea is if you live in a big city to search locally on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist or Offerup for a local meal prep service. Those places offer better value.
You fricking mongoloid do some meal prep and it even comes to cheaper than this. The more you cook in one go the cheaper one portion gets. I cook 3 kilos of food for one week and a day comes to 2.75 dollars, 1400 calories a day (not counting the breakfast ofc) and at least 75 80 grams of protein. Supplement with eggs, cheese and ham in the morning and you're good to go
I once ordered some food boxes with a specific amount of kcal for a week.
They were advertised as healthy, filling and cooked professionally.
What I got was absolutely moronic. It adhered to the kcal budget but you had shit like some fricking cookie eating up half of it, sugary juices that took up a third. I think the most insulting thing they sent me was half a pear swimming in wine, served in a fricking plastic box.
Because it was set up in such a moronic way all the portions were tiny and nothing was filling. Massive lack of filler vegetables too.
>$5/meal
pretty expensive unless you only eat out already
>$5 a meal
I can get a whole 1kg chicken for 5-6€, or like four massive chicken legs for 5.
Literally just salt and pepper them and throw them in the oven.
Your paying $5000 a year because you can't be arsed to meal prep or learn to cook?
>only $5 for one meal
I've done several meal delivery kits. Some are kind of fun if you like to cook or want to learn how to cook, but they always stuff tons of potatoes in there and crap like that. These microwave ones are kind of gay. Just buy from the grocery store and do your own meal prep. It will be cheaper and better.
>$5 per meal
Would be good if it was enough for a whole day.
