    I don’t train the lift at all but I like to do a 1rm every once in a while as a way of tracking my strength. It’s the best measure of overall strength, just useless for most people to program directly.

          The first time I deadlifted I could do more than my body weight too. By not programming it in you aren’t getting stronger at it. Your bench is not relevant to your deadlift max.

    Think about it like this, if the only exercise you ever did was deadlifting would you look any different? 4 years of deadlifting optimizing sets and reps and diet and sleep and fuck it a full on set of doctor monitored steroids. If all you did was deadlifts, you would look the exact fucking same 4 years later.
