The truth is no one gives a frick about the majority of men. Women don't give a frick unless you're already hot and men don't give a frick because you're their competition. Any years of your life you've already wasted are gone. No one is coming to save you. Either you take control and make the most out of the rest of your life or just waste more years. The choice is yours. As for the wasted years don't get too hung up on it. If you're still in your 20s or even early 30s you can still get fit and do all that shit you should have done at 21 right now. If you are really proactive about it and cut out time wasters like gaming, tv and scrolling on socials you can probably do 5 years of stuff in one year. You can easily catch up if you feel left behind. And the hard truth they don't want you to hear is absolutely any man can do this.

tbf thats because a lot of the "depression" nowadays isnt real.
Depression itself is real, and its gotta do with chemical imbalances and all that bs I don't really understand or care about. but while its good its normalized so people can seek help, it has become too normalized to the point where its now seen as an "exclusive club" by zoomers and some millenials and so they fake having depression to be part of said "club" snice they have nothing else going for them. some might even unknowingly self sabotage themselves and frick up their lives to a point where they actually have depression, except its entirely their fault and they brought it upon themselves.
By telling these people to go to the gym you're encouraging them to pick up a healthy hobby which literally has no downsides and can solve a lot of the superficial problems a lot of people have, getting them out of the fake depression and preventing them from falling into real depression.
