I did it for a bit earlier this year and I managed to lose at least five kilos even though I did not do much physical activity. Once I got past the initial feeling of being starved I got great mental clarity. Also stopped having excess gas and stomach issues.
I'm curious about the experience of others.

An average meal from an American restaurant has over a day's worth of calories in it. You can easily skip breakfast, skip lunch, go out for dinner, and eat enough.
You don't have to ALWAYS follow OMAD structure. It isn't like you're going out to eat every night, and even if you did, you could just eat then.

The reason I am on it is that it has forced me to eat less rubbish since I got one meal only, so I got to be thoughtful of my micro and macro nutrition, and I stopped having stomach bloating, gasses and bad shits as a result. Plus more saved time because less cooking and cleaning, etc.
I started about a year ago, still doing it most days unless I go out for dinner or drinks for a date or whatever. So like 95% of days I do OMAD. I just have more energy overall and I feel almost zero temptation to snack after I’ve eaten for the day
I switched to OMAD a couple years ago. Much like you, it greatly improved my stomach problems. I went from being gassy and having heartburn all the time, to being gassy and having heartburn only for a couple hours a day after I ate. I'm not sure if it helped with weight loss, as I also cut back on what I was eating around the time I started it. OMAD works really well for my workout schedule as well; I now just go for a run during my lunch break (I work from home) and then after work I lift and make dinner during the rests between sets.

I don't lift, so I do OMAD because it's incredibly convenient, especially if you combine it with some meal prep. There's better things to spend your time on than cooking and eating.

Did it 3-4 months, then nearly OMAD for another ~7-8 months (just a small snack in the morning, still only one real meal). Worked pretty good, never really felt hungry most days. Lost 90 lbs and down to 11.6% body fat. Started at 272 lbs, 33%+. Started last June, finished earlier this month.
