Even foods that normally should have good nutrients have less than they used to because irresponsible agricultural practices have destroyed most of the soil and fertilizer only includes potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus. It's exactly why you should take them together. The Zinc you're taking is outcompeting the Copper you get naturally from your diet. If you take Zinc and Copper separately, they still frick with each other because our bodies store both of them in our bones and muscles. I'd take them together to keep the ratio optimal, unless there are optimal times to take them.
