    i was like this too. turns out i was jogging way too fast. bring your pace down on the treadmill to wherever keeps your heart rate about 140, and you'll be able to go for 5-20 minutes without any issue, almost untrained. makes it easy to recover while walking in between as well.

    this is shit literally no couch 2 5k autists or professional "joggers" tell you. most actual people's jogging speed is like 4.3mph.

      Oh be quiet not only is Zone 2 training the latest fad in the running space but literally ALL the couch to 5K shit out there tries to get people to run as slow as you're saying to. 'Conversational pace' and 'you should be able to breathe through your nose alone' (aka low heartrate explained to someone who took an experimental vaccine for a donut)
      It is fricking moronic, if you actually want to train and improve your running then zone 2 is like using a spoon for weight training, yeah sure it's better than not weight training at all (walking) but it's not going to actually train your to lift bigger weights (run faster)
      If you're going below 7min/km (5.5mph) then you're basically not doing anything or incredibly fricking fat.

        Black person shut the frick up, seriously. anyone who does cardio will literally tell you heart rate is the most important thing, and it varies with every person. wanting to run a marathon is one thing, wanting to WIN the marathon in first place is a whole other level. jogging at a slow to moderate pace is plenty enough for every fricking person to be healthy and keep their resting heart rate below 70. anything more than that is legitimate training for the cause, which is something 99% of lifters or people just doing it for health do not give a frick about.

          Anyone who is actually a professional athlete in cycling or running will tell you that's total bullshit. It's not a bad idea to go off it, it's why Zone 2 is the current fad, it's easy to get into and it's really easy to write guides for it and make videos about it hence it's proliferation. It requires a cheap HR strap or maybe a low end smart watch and basically no other equipment so it gets talked about a lot. It's just bullshit if you actually want to imnprove.

          Is burnout gunna be less common? Yep. Because you're not actually doing much. Now sure if you're a turbolard fatty it's better than doing nothing at all and it does burn calories if thats all you care about but it's absolutely not the best way to run-farther-faster and that's most people's goal.

    I got a job as an amazon driver, I've taken to jogging at each of my stops. it was hard at first, but 8-10 hours of jogging in short intervals like that has helped me improve my cardio significantly and I've lost ~40 lbs

      Some of my full body workouts were up to 3 hours in duration.
      3 sets with 8-12 reps of OHP, Squats, Rows, Deadlifts, Bench press, Chin-ups, Sit-ups, Leg curls, Tricep extensions and Bicep curls.
      Wouldn't say that it was 'comfortable', but I didn't prepare anything other than a bottle of water either.

      The premise is that lifting heavy weights for extended periods of time supposed to increase your general cardio endurance, yet when you try to do exercise, main requirement of which is general cardio endurance, it doesn't works that well, according to OP.
