Raw garlic

How to reap the benefits?

Peel off outer skin of the bulb. Peel skin off of the clove until you see the white soft surface.

Then, chew it for a while until it's pretty well broken-up, then wash it down with a drink. Starting off you'll probably be only able to handle one clove, but now I usually do three or four.

Do it 30 minutes before a workout for a sick pump, but I usually just do it at night for the testosterone and cortisol decrease when made a regular part of your routine.

Washing it down with water is hell so you might consider milk.

Theres absolutely no reason to chew it up. In fact you shouldnt. Smash it up and let it sit in the open for 9-10mins. The alinin reacts with air to turn into alicin. Thats the entire point. Youre right about it reacting with vit c to produce Nitic oxide though.

i mean that's a lot more work though. feels easier to just man up and pretend it's a hot pepper for a couple seconds.

Smashing with a chefs knife on a cutting board takes 2 seconds. And learn to read please.

                alright bro

The ones I'm looking at (first google link) claim to contain 2.1mg allicin

something with absorption i believe. i dont remember i read about it ages ago. the supps might be good, i just know that once you're used to it the raw stuff is really easy, cheap, and has worked for me thus far.

I just don't want to smell like garlic kek. Eating a whole clove would make your sweat smell like garlic for the whole day

The point is that the crushed/cut garlic should sit for a few minutes before you eat it, so that the allicin can form. Just chewing it without doing this first does not achieve the same effect, though it is probably still pretty good.

    Thoughts on garlic supplements?

not useful unfortunately for our needs. the compound that makes garlic useful is called allicin, which is what fights cortisol. it's only produced really by chewing or mashing, and it's lost in these supplements.

it has also shown mao inhibitory effects in rats
i disagree about the supplements not being useful

even if they're useful it's kinda just a waste of money. raw garlic is some of the cheapest stuff at the store.
