You can make water bottles from animal: skins, intestines, bladders, etc.

Humans also store water in them better than animals so the animal will die of thirst long before you do.

You can easily look jacked (for normie standards) and run a marathon in 3-something hours. You just have to make sure you eat enough and get good sleep.
            >"m-muh physique"
Sprinters are no different. How do you think Usain Bolt looks? The sprinters that do look jacked do so because their approach is to max out all the muscles needed to propel them forward in a short time.
The reason why marathoners look like this is because they dedicate all of their time to said sport and achieve times that are in the upper regions of any competition. You likely don't. And you likely never will. Hence, you can perfectly try longer distances without sacrificing aesthetics (with the caveat of never being competitive).

, the pajeet fucks off, and the following week this repeats. This board is a joke.

No anthropologist says this, or has for all of history. Only some retard journalists who read a paper that said “we sometimes would run for short periods inbetween walking hunting prey in a long chase” started promoting the idea that humans ran long distances. They didn’t.

You know the story of Pheidippides? Where the idea of a marathon comes from? Yea he ran it and died. That’s the story, everyone for all time knew you aren’t supposed to run long distances until the retarded ROONERs came about.

Guys you need to start ROONING a marathon so you don’t become like him when you need to ROON. No it’s realism added to the math because you aren’t supposed to roon long distances and they knew it.

We have the most efficient way of cooling our bodies of all mammals. Talking about usefulness in no situation the ability to lift EXTREMELY heavy weights would be useful because our bodies arent meant for that.

I’m not saying lifting extremely heavy weights is something normal, it’s not clearly. The issue is rooners want everyone to believe that long distance rooning is the most natural thing and only thing everyone needs to do. Instead of accepting that they are just freaks who can’t stop rooning. If you want to room long distances because you like it go ahead, but stop trying to tell everyone it’s natural and healthier than other forms of cardio.

middle distance is a colloquial term, and at best a marketing term, but it turns out the 800m and 1500m events are in fact physiologically speaking middle distance events as far as aerobic and anaerobic energy, using a blend of both for their energy requirements

To me personally, I made this decision because I started my "running career" with C25k and went all the way to marathon. Everything below 10 k just *feels* short distance to me, even if the underlying physiology disagrees.

But then I've also cycled in excess of 100 miles in a day without more than a 10 minute lunch stop and it didn't even feel that long.

        >At a half-marathon in Alabama in 2016, a bloodhound named Ludivine joined runners at the start line. When the gun sounded and the race began, she took off with the leaders. While she did stop every now and then to sniff around, she always got back to the race, ultimately finishing in seventh place

        >When Australian ultrarunner Dion Leonard noticed a little dog following him in the middle of the Gobi March, a 250K stage race in China, he didn’t think much of it. “I started to think, ‘this dog isn’t going to last the whole day,'” he told the BBC after the run. Leonard was wrong about that, and the dog, which he would eventually name Gobi, ran by his side for four of the six stages of the race, covering 125K.

        >At the 2019 Marathon des Sables, one of the most brutal running events in the world, a dog named Cactus joined the race. Cactus (which is a name he was given after he started running) started running near the end of the race’s second stage, and he stayed with the group for the rest of the event. He ended up crossing the finish line ahead of the first-place human, but he wasn’t given an official time because he started the race later than everyone else.

Best marathoners in the world got mogged by a random dog called Cactus, and that's just dogs, not even camels or horses or whatever. 99% of runners get mogged by picrel (Gobi). All that crap about being LE BORN TO RUN is just adidas trying to sell your overpriced sneakers. Though running is fine, I run in chucks and have no problems.

I think running just sucks. I prefer to just do 15 minutes of cardio a couple times per day, rather than "run". It's some kind of torture for me to run. I hate every second of it. I hate looking at the uneven sidewalks, the pounding of my feet on the sidewalk, the sound of my own breath, I hate remembering how much time and distance is left, I hate the burning in my legs, I hate the song looping in my head, and I hate the cars driving by. There is not a single enjoyable aspect of running. I like HIIT and calisthenics.

Learn to run. Technique and tempo. There's some brit with a running school on youtube who has decent tutorials, basically you do sort of a rolling motion with the leg. Sorta like you're falling forward and your leg is sort of a wheel, hard to explain. Easier to figure this out with thin soles. Then you go slow as fuck with a goal to just move for 60 minutes at any speed. Then pretend you're a some kind of cool animal running in the wild and lose yourself in that magical dream. Then it feels good.

But as far as I know hiit is better at improving distance running than actual distance running.

Most people run at the wrong intensity which is pretty much what you're describing. You either want to run at a chill pace so you don't feel like you're "burning", or you want to do hard intervals that are closer to HIIT.

Yeah but it’s still much closer to jogging than sprinting. Also, hunterers still needed to cover long distances rather quickly to even get to their prey, and also needed to hunt down more than one animal a day. Probably added up to at least 10 miles of slow running throughout the day

Kek, butthurt fatsos are now in running threads as well. Anyway, here you go.
    > Persistence hunting is a scientific theory backed by anthropologists. It was popularized by a journalist, yes
    > Persistence hunting implies moving faster than a threshold that allows the animal to cool down and rest, which is faster than walking.
    > Persistence hunting was supposed to pre-date weapons and occurred when homo sapiens and their ancestors lived in African savannas.

Where did you get your anthropology degree from.

The average pace of persistence hunting is 3-5 mph. Well documented in the literature.

You're just lying because seeing people run makes your fat ass uncomfortable. Go and read about modern persistence hunts. They get to higher average speed, maybe 10km/h and alternate shorter walks with longer periods of running.

Retard, most of their average speeds are 4-6kmph. When they run they normally run for period of 5-15 minutes.

Just face it you never read the research.

Why don't you stop spamming slide threads on /fit and just do what makes you feel good? Want to sprint - sprint, want to run - run, want to be jacked - train appropriately and pin.

Take the 5K pill, literally the ideal running distance.

    >It's another episode of "anon discovers overspecialization"

I have 2 indirect 'friends' that are into long distance running and both of them do the s0iface in their profile pic. This is the only argument we need, brahs. Dont waste your time arguing with skinny s0iboys in this thread.
