This is a S-tier back exercise and I'm tired of pretending it isn't just because some grifting youtuber says otherwise

It's nice but I prefer using DBs. Neither BB or curl BB feels right on the wrists.
Ok look , I will give this exercise a try. But how wide should I grip to hit the traps and side delts?
What is the best grip?
I like Bald Omni-man's tutorial
?t=275
Traps will be hit no matter how hold it. For side delts I find that focusing on a good squeeze at the top maximizes side delt activation, but you'll have to experiment with grip width and find the one that feels the best for you.
My shoulders feel very funny when I'm doing it so I don't risk it
Use a wider snatch grip and only pull to right above your nipples.
Yep, it's goat.
Entire trap and shoulder complex get a massive pump, no pain at all either.
My upper back has exploded since I incorporated these
>G-G-GONNA... IMPINGE
> do facepulls instead!!!!
> * is literally impingement: the movement *
Nobody can even tell me what a shoulder impingement is. It's something made up by PTs to scam you out of money.
They're time efficient, you train all the heads of the shoulder, the traps, your grip and to some extent even your biceps
are they really not dangerous or is still an elaborate troll? I've never done them. they hit all the heads of the delts and the lats?
They are not dangerous if you avoid egolifting
Way more people hurt themselves on bench press and squats and whatever, yet everyone still does them.
Yes they work all heads of the deltoids if you do them properly, I'm not saying they work them BETTER than any specific isolation exercise just that they work all of them at the same time. They don't work lats that much, it's primarily an trap and shoulders exercise
cheers, I'll give them a go
>are they really not dangerous or is still an elaborate troll?
There are no exercises that are dangerous if they are done with the appropriate volume and intensity. That these are regarded as dangerous is not an elaborate troll, its a misconception. Its a myth. Its a meme. AthleanX said they where bad, and everyone believed him, and thus it became to be regarded a a truth.
jake kaminski actually does a pretty good description within his own discipline. I looked into it some more to try and fine a compromise between old chinese draw and modern, no dice.
Elbow does not go above chest at specific rotations, that's just it. Same as doing skull crushers wrong.
these aren't any better than anything else that works the same muscles
everyone that gets fricked doing them is because they go heavy and swing the weight instead of doing light weight slow movement
Dont make me tap the sign
It sucks. Worse trap pump than shrugs. Worse side delt pump than lat raises.
