>add weighted chin ups to the beggining of my pull day
>they're so draining I have to lower the weight in every other lift
>they at least give me a massive bicep and forearm pump
How do you get good at weighted chin ups, IST? I feel like they're the key to get huge arms

>How do you get good at weighted chin ups
you do more weighted chin ups
>can do 15 unweighted pull ups, chest to bar
>add 15lbs
>can barely do 7
>can do 5 weighted chin ups with 45 pounds.
>Did bodyweight
>can barely do 10
>add weight to exercise
>do fewer reps
science has still not explained this!
Literally me
form check? 7 reps, 12kg weighted pullups for second set. first set was 9 reps.
> 6ft 70kg
Engage you core skelly
will do, thanks anon
?t=115
>that one dingleberry that keeps hanging on after wiping
Good form, but bulk for christ's sake
Do em wide you're working more of your back and they're harder
do not listen to this guy.
Lel dyel
He’s right, doing them wide literally makes your back wider. Ever heard of the Teres major and minor? Yeah. Mine exploded when I started doing the widest possible grip. I can now do 33 wide grip pull-ups with zero CrossFit flailing and I promise you you’re shirts have to go a a size up just because of the width.
your* I’m sorry, I’m phonegayging
>Mine exploded
Sounds painful. Definitely not gonna do them wide.
>at the end of the pull you pull to much at the top which will probably lead to tendonitis n your elbows
(try to bring chest to bar rather than chin over bar)
>you let yourself fall too much tr to controlle excentric more
>engage your legs bro you are hanging their spread legged swinging around
>start of the pull you are in a dead hang when your traps should be engaged which will frick up your shoulders
Plug the energy leak in your bottom half by squeezing your legs together or crossing them a bit you fricking twig.
Bro, you're like 120 lbs at most
You get huge arms by training them with lots of volume. No, doing weighted chins will not get you huge arms, but theyre pretty good if you havent done any isolations before in your life.
I got 16 inch muscular arms within half a year of adding weighted chin ups
But they have stayed the same for years now lol, just more defined
I have never seen a biceps curl in my life
You got short arms then
I have a short torso, dunno about my arms length, it seems normal
How tall are you, my friend?
5'3
Yeah. Your arms are short af
fat frick here, most recently did 16.25 kg for 5x5 at 85 kg
based
...why would you not just do more unweighted pull ups? Not everything has to be 5×5 you know?
5 reps is more than enough. I swear every dyel is obsessed with volume
Yeah if you wanna look like shit lmao
Ok uggo
i already said i'm a fat frick you dullard
shut up, c**t
currently at 30kg+ started like 2 moths ago
i upped 10kg every month but probably need to slow down now to 5kg per month
i want to be at around 1 time bw+ (85kg) by end of next year
after that i probably work at reps with high weight
I do pull ups and they are my last heavy exercise:
>Squats
>Barbell rows
>Deadlift
>Pull ups
I keep than last for spinal decompression and stretching. One day, I was too damn fricked and tired to do it all, so I did pull ups after my squats and I was able to do like 4 more reps with the same weight, but yeah I don't feel like it affects my gains TOO much
Treat it like the deadlift
Currently at 26 BMI and struggling to crank out 3 pull ups with good form. Chin ups are okay -- about 6-8. Any advice for hitting higher numbers while I try to unfatten myself?
