Plant protein has horrible amino acid profile or is loaded with harmful compounds, actually both in most cases. No other way around it. Vegetarians can get great protein with dairy and eggs, vegans are bound to become malnourished in the short term and seriously ill in the long term.

Beans are chock-full of protease inhibitors. Any protein you do consume is not allowed to break down and digest, getting passed-through as poop.

tastes like shit, i dont care foodwise, i like tofu, seitan, rice+beans. TVP is ok but makes me weirdly constipated so i don't have it much. if i'm feeling lazy, i might get chik'n nuggets but i try not to regularly
