What the fuck am I supposed to do between sets?

I feel so awkward I just sit on the bench looking at my garmin watch timer count down for 3 minutes. Can barely look around because gym usually full and I don't want to look eyes with other people walking around. I feel so awkward bros what do you do?

      get some mindfulness lessons to listen to and learn just count your breaths focussing on what you hear, how your body feels, and how you're breathing, rather than what you're thinking

      always stand, dont stare at phone, i walk from side to side and check my weights casually. Look around the gym casually, get a sip of water.

          A tip I got from Frank Yang is to count down from 15 seconds after you feel rested enough to do another set. This allows me to do 1 extra reps than if I jumped right into it.

          i walways time my rest oeriods on my phone. If you arent doing this i honestly feel like youre fucking up. Prevent cheating in either direction.

                How long do you set the timer for? Its just recovery between sets seems sort of intuitive, and not something you have to track. But I will give it a try if it has worked for you. Never wanna leave gains on the table.

                As soon as i finish my set i start it on my phone. Based on the excersise the length changes. For bench its 5 mins as im lifting heavy and cutting atm. My heavy back movements after 3 mins. And any accessories 2 mins. I guarantee youll notice a difference.

      If you are doing 5x5 you should be lifting a compound and loading it heavy as fuck I which case 3 minutes won't be nearly enough time to rest. Please tell me you aren't doing isolations for five reps

    I don't being any electronics with me to the gym, just an old Casio wrist watch.
    I rest for 3 minutes between sets.
    I just look into a general direction while waiting for that time to pass.
    Sometimes I do deadhangs.
    I write down my exercises and weights for that day in a scrap piece of paper.
    It's a small and friendly gym but people barely talk to me, I'm fairly sure they believe I'm mentally challenged or autistic. I just want to lift, not look at my phone or listen to music.

    Guys I want to strike up a conversation with my gym crush.
    She's very quiet and doesn't really look up to make eye contact with anyone. I've almost never seen her speaking to others.
    I said to myself I was going to speak to her this week, yesterday she was too far away for me to go over to her. Today I bottled it, we were closer but not next to eachother, I needed to ask her for a bench (first time I've acknowledged her) but I didn't have the balls to say any more. I'm thinking of saying something along the lines of

    Superset it with a different exercise, so you barely can catch a breath between sets.

    My gym routine looked like:
    OHP + Squats
    Bench press + Barbell rows
    Deadlifts + Pullups
    Abs + Calf raises
    Bic/Tric isolations + hamstrings

    Although I got drained quite hard after those 3-4 hour sessions, felt like my body lost the energy to run on.
