What's a good routine to minimize fatigue and acquire aesthetics?
Should I focus more on isolation movements and do few sets of many different exercises?

If you're natty, you should do heavy strength to build muscles and cardio to keep lean
If you're on gear, just focus on getting a pump and the drugs will do the rest

The suckiest part is that a lot of zoomers genuinly think the world will end because of climate change in a few decades, and they were taught that in that face of hardship they should just focus on how they feel about it instead of dealing with the problem.

I pretty much only use yt. But still, all recommendations are either hot takes, drama, political bullshit or video essays. Not to mention it always seems to try to guide you towards the least useful people on all sides. Accidentally clicked on a movie channel who vaguely leans left? Now hasan piker and Vaush show up in your recommendations. Clicked on an excercise vid? Here's the worst of internet fitness culture, PUA shit and of course drama. Clicked on a video about society? Heres blackpill videos about gen z and dating. Clicked on a video about europe? Heres unironic russian propaganda. Hell at one point I regularly had troony and lesbian content recommended for some fricking reason. The only explanation I have is they deliberately want to pigeonhole you into a category to isolate you from the outside world so you become terminally online and keep CONSOOMING or smt.

I’m in the same boat being born in ‘98, and my family lineage has all been like this too. My dad was born in 1964, so he’s between the Baby Boomers and Generation X, and my granddad was born in 1943, so he’s from the Silent Generation, which is often passed over for either the Greatest Generation or Baby Boomers.

I think it highlights how stupid the generation naming system is and how much it really hinges on pop culture than what year you were born in.

as long as you're doing a few sets of curls in your program you should be fine

  10. 2 months ago
    Anonymous

You're better off focusing on few compound movements, that hit more muscle groups, and do a decent number of sets.
If you're natty, you should be going for strength (you'll gain mass anyway, but it's more sustainable for a natty guy to get bigger as an effect of getting stronger, you'll have less sets, less reps, less frequency).
Follow Prieplin's table, keep the percentages between 85% and 70%, averaging around 80% (actually in the 84-76% range, meaning don't only work at the high or low end, mix that shit up), hit every muscle 2/week, possibly at different percentages, and when you can use a variant of the exercise that works more muscles, or take significantly less out of you (like romanian deads vs deadlifts, but if you do that do actual deads every few weeks, or chin ups instead of wide grip pull ups, close grip bench instead of wide grip bench, and so on).
You'll probably need some isolation anyway, to round things out: superset them all, and/or do myoreps, don't waste time resting. They're just isolations anyway.

  11. 2 months ago
    Anonymous

Focus on the big compounds brah, the guys who don't bench because "it isn't optimal for chest growth" are always small and dyel, same with the guys who don't overhead press and "spam lateral raises" instead. Same for squats, yes they're hard and it sucks doing them but everyone who doesn't do them universally has skinny legs. As long as your bodyfat percentage is in check you gain aesthetics with strength, if you can rep 2pl8 on bench while being lean it's impossible not to look good too.

Push pull legs is okay and Arnold split is good. Always do cardio too, the guys who can't run for 10 minutes always look like shit. Cardio helps you stay lean too, and as a natty you can only really look impressive lean

  12. 2 months ago
    Anonymous

You pic exercises that have high stimulus and low fatigue. As a beginner you should still learn compounds and they will still be all you need to grow everything. As an intermediate bodybuilder you should do more isolation exercises and use cables/machines. You don’t have to do many different exercises, it’s about how much you target a muscle and if you get every part of it. You don’t have to do exercise variation for the sake of it.

Yep, the generation labeling is fricking moronic and has been for a long time.

Once upon a time (around 2005-2007) it was generally agreed that "millennials" were the generation born from 2000 onwards (since, you know, they were born in the new millennium) and that the ones born in 1980s + 1990s were just "Gen Y"

Each generation also has progressively less testosterone so unfortunately when it comes to lifting this will become more and more true

Routine almost never matters when it comes to aesthetics unless it's extremely unbalanced or you have severe muscle imbalances. Bench will give you bigger pecs and tris, OHP will give you bigger shoulders, and so on. If you end up looking like shit it's because of insertions and bf%.

Full body twice a week for like a year. Really focus on shoulders and traps. They make you look big in a shirt. Eventually you can cut down to once a week even and maintain. Heavy compounds are probably the best if you don't want to talk around with little impigments and joint fatigue. Just don't do gomad or bloatmaxxing and you'll stay aesthetic

Yet millenials are the biggest crybabies around about everything. They had the 08 crisis that sucked but it sucked the hardest for gen x. Zoom zooms now get the enjoyable experience of their degrees being devalued since jobs relatively pay less for people having them. On top of that housing and cost of living went through the roof compared to wages.
