Having a really shit start to the new year, so I summon gutsanon and fellow helpful frens for a support thread.
>anyone can start lifting, you don't need any prior sports experience
>you can escape skinnyfat mode in less than six months
>it takes less than a year for people to notice you lift
>programming as a beginner is piss easy, everything works
>diet is just as easy, just eat some protein and avoid fast food, candy and soda
>you don't need a gym subscription to achieve a decent physique, you can get a good workout even with a pair of dumbbells from home
>mires become so common they don't even register anymore
>people notice you lift even under winter clothes
>1/2/3/4 makes you stronger than mostly anyone you'll come across in your daily life
>once you see results you won't even think about skipping the gym
>consistency is the key to a good physique, even if you drag yourself to the gym you'll appreciate every single workout in retrospect
>a good physiqye has a halo effect on anything you do
>being motivated by hope and love is much more effective than being motivated by anger
All of us can make it.
newbie here, what's 1/2/3/4
1 pl8 OHP/2 pl8 bench/3pl8 squat/4pl8 deadlift
how many pounds is a plate?
45lbs, but you're obviously doubling that for the amount of plates to balance the bar. So those weights translates to 135lb OHP/225lb Bench/315lb Squat/405lb deadlift
1 happy wife, 2 beautiful children, 3 good dogs, 4 proud parents and in-laws
2 dogs, 3 children
idk
>the average man is so disgusting that not being fat or skinnyfat already puts you into a good zone
>Lifting is funny
Jesus christ. 700 people cannot be this stupid
You underestimate just how disgusting your average person is. Over 70% of the US is overweight
The other 30% is mostly untrained as well
>reddit
It's america, everything other than obese or skinnyfat is idolised.
i dont know this dude but to be fair he would look damn good if he cut like 8 percent bodyfat
no shit 90% of people would look better if they lost weight
/fit is fricking moronic. this is a normal muscular male. no 8% bodyfat unsustainable bullshit. granted there are others who have a naturally lean mass and low bodyfat %.
>no 8% bodyfat unsustainable bullshit
Bro, he is at least over 15%. That or lower is very sustainable if you put in the work.
Nah he's about 20% bf
If he cut to 12% he'd look halfway decent but not jacked
>gutsanon
That was Kenshiro in the OP
The usual OP is referred to as gutsanon even though he posts FotNS
the poster is called gutsanon
No need to summon me friend, all the hope you need is in your heart already
It just feels like I can't get it together. Everything feels wrong all at the same time and the consequences are coming to a head to the degree that I can't even do the basic shit to build the habits and improve. I barely get up for work and while clocked in I'm doing what feels like frick all.
I know how you feel man. But I'm gonna be real with you, I don't know you and I don't know your situation, no heart to heart talk is gonna change that. But I know that two things are certain, your life can either get worse or it can get better, and you always have a hand in it, no matter how small or big of a difference it may make. You have some time off of work and some money, it's entirely up to you to make the best of them. Today's consequences be damned, it's tomorrow's consequences that count. Count your losses and keep moving forward. I've had troubles with letting the past go and lingering on too much for too long, but the past is never coming back. It's tomorrow that awaits us. Cling on to that hope for a better tomorrow anon. Hope springs eternal
good advice, anon
Daily reminder.
Synagogue of Satan will seethe.
I'm worried bros
So many blackpillers/demoralizers on IST I swear. Hope they all die painful deaths.
>stronger battles
you mean harder
Does anyone have good recommendations for a boxing stand? I found one on Amazon but some of the reviews are iffy.
I made my own for 20 dollars. Mannequin torso, metal rod, tire filled with cement bam.
>it takes less than a year for people to notice you lift
following this, something that really clicked for me was for my instant-gratification-adhd-addled brain to understand that the body takes a very slow time to undergo changes and NEEDS quality rest to ensure it develops properly. like yeah duh, you cant just do heavy full body a crazy amount per week for a month straight and suddenly go from skinny/fat to lean with decent muscle. even PED users need to be consistent and have somewhat of a dialed in diet, AND stick with it for years at a time - you also need to keep lifting and refuse to fall back into a sedentary lifestyle to at least maintain what you have.
might sound stupid to some anons, but this is coming from someone who was (still is) a lazy frick. it just finally clicked that i need to stick with this and not expect unrealistic rapid changes.
God bless you frens
