i have no talent or skill at lifting. i suck at it. even though ive been lifting for a few years im still small and weak.
everyone says not to give up, keep lifting, etc
Why? whats the point in doing something you suck at? whats the use in trying hard at something you will never be good at
Working on your weaknesses is great to become well rounded. Surely you've gained basic physical confidence and are much better off for it.
>Surely you've gained basic physical confidence and are much better off for it.
not really
You can't even bench your bodyweight?
Post routine, post body with timestamp
there is no talent involved in lifting for yourself, the only necessary thing is hard work. you got this moron
>there is no talent involved in lifting
wrong
yes
i have been lifting without break since starting
And how are you lifting? How's your intensity, time in the gym, sleep, diet, does your program allow you to truly work a muscle and have adequate recovery? I find it impossible to believe you've been lifting consistently for years without any gains at all, even if it's knowledge gains.
>How's your intensity
within a rep of failure
>time in the gym
about 90 minutes
>sleep
7 or so hours
>diet
over 200g of protein per day
>does your program allow you to truly work a muscle and have adequate recovery?
yes
post body and routine
Wtf OP? HOW!???
I also go to failure. I also spend 90 minutes in the gym. I only get like 5 hours of sleep a night though. Over 200g of protein??? I probably get like 120g of protein.
>6'4"
>180 pounds (goal is 200 pounds)
>bf% probably around 13%
There is no way you are tiny op.
OP focusing on protons instead of calories?
no. i've gained weight. lots
You should go to a doctor and get blood work done so they can look at your vitamin/mineral levels and check your testosterone.
there is no talent involved in executing a lift correctly.
there is no talent involved in dieting properly.
there is no talent involved in sticking to your program.
There is talent in learning how to fire the neurons in your brain properly to contract certain muscles in sequence. For someone who has never done it learning to develop a mind-muscle connection to certain muscles can be as hard as learning to walk again for people with nerve problems or spine problems.
there is talent in having a natural affinity for physical exercise. some people are just better at recruiting muscle fibers for a lift.
some people eat whatever they want and get hench. maybe not talent, but something else
>bad routine
no
>not eating over TDEE
no
>not getting 1g/lb of bodyweight protein,
no
>you're a squishy type who won't feel angry when confronted with difficulty, and you won't use your anger to overcome it. you don't ask questions, you don't do research, you just give up
projection
i cannot
that "talent" can be gained through hard work
Yeah but some people have that innate talent at a level you can't reach. Like c'mon you know this
how does someone having a knack for something affect you picking up heavy things and putting them down?
youre just a homosexual that looks for excuses to give up
idk i just think that if you cant be the best then you shouldn't do it
so if you are not the best at breathing should you just choke yourself to death?
if you arent the best fricker you should just never procreate?
if you arent the best walker you should just chop your legs off?
this mentality of yours is full of moronic homosexualtery and if you want to do something with your life you need to cut this shit out as soon as possible
maybe but i am also trans ?
>doesn't post body
>doesn't post routine
you don't want help, you just want attention and an excuse to be apathetic
Have you been lifting consistently? Have you learned anything about programming?
Why am i supposed to convince u otherwise
Just kys
I have terrible genetics and look like crap but I’ve been lifting for 10+ years and won’t ever stop
It’s good for your health even if you don’t look like a fitness model aesthetics brah
but what's the point if you train hard and eat and still have and will always have a small and weak body?
its good for your health? why should i care about that, honestly
Get fat and unhealthy and find out why you should care.
I won't tell people I work out since I don't want to be mistaken for a beginner and told to keep at it even though I've been consistent for 6 or 7 years. But it's pretty easy to see the differences between a person who lifts regularly and one that doesn't (ROM, endurance, etc), especially long term but that comes with age I guess and you sound pretty young.
>I won't tell people I work out since I don't want to be mistaken for a beginner and told to keep at it even though I've been consistent for 6 or 7 years
what is the point in lifting for almost a decade just to look like you've literally never been in a gym before and telling others that you don't lift to avoid judgment?
>ROM, endurance, etc
General health, it's in my post. And I'm ottermode now and look far better than when I began so it's not a total waste like you're implying. I'll keep looking young and healthy while others slowly fall apart.
I had complaints similar to yours early on and hit some barriers that forced me to adjust my goals and adopt a longer-term mindset but if you think you're better off doing nothing despite knowing that regular lifting and exercise is good for you, then go ahead, but I won't tell you to quit like you want.
>had complaints similar to yours early on and hit some barriers that forced me to adjust my goals and adopt a longer-term mindset
read: i realized i sucked at lifting and had to figure out how to cope to make myself feel better
Either have a nice day or stop complaining and lift that shit up Black person
first off, you start the tread with a magic girl anime pic which says more about you than your post
second, I'm 99% sure you're doing something wrong if you don't grow. bad routine, not eating over TDEE, not getting 1g/lb of bodyweight protein, etc. everyone starts doing something wrong, however the difference is they try to fix it.
third, lifting isn't just about results, although they are of course most important. it's also about the dopamine rush.
fourth, not giving up is about not being a little b***h. you're a squishy type who won't feel angry when confronted with difficulty, and you won't use your anger to overcome it. you don't ask questions, you don't do research, you just give up instead of raging and nothing means anything to you.
so go back to wallowing in depression and watching tranime i guess, not like anyone cares. be the 90% of losers who get filtered by lifting and never make it
>talent
>in lifting
Black person just pick up the rock and try not to blow out your back.
If you want to level up your rock picking up skill, just eat more.
>whats the point in doing something you suck at?
to get better?
Or you could spend your time on something you actually have some talent for and might actually become decent at
What are your hormone levels?
they are normal going by the last blood test i got
no
What do you mean by “normal”
we all have reasons to give up but the question is do you have any reason to not give up?
>another defeatist homosexual
to give up is to let god win
Well anon, reading through this thread it's clear what answer you're looking for, so: do it. Quit. There you have it. You're free. No more gym
>i have no talent or skill at lifting. i suck at it. even though ive been lifting for a few years im still small and weak.
Same here. I don't care because i enjoy i doing and i will keep doing it. My results been pretty damn subpar and most people that join the gym if they train properly and consistently get stronger then me in a manner of like 8-12 months. I don't care, i'll never be pro, never compete (maybe i will down the line just for the frick of it if i keep making gains) but like i said i enjoy it. I enjoy the process, i enjoy the results, i enjoy the theory, the programming, the planning, the exectuion of a plan, the execution of a lift, a workout. I love the bump, the burn, the pain. I love cardio too i love running and i will keep doing it. I will stay in shape and i will stay active and healthy. Its terms of mogging i don't really give a shit anymore about that but i am still stronger bigger and than 99% of the untrained population.
>everyone says not to give up, keep lifting, etc
>Why?
People don't want to see other people give up. People like to see others go after it and stick to their goals. Its inspiring, it makes others sticks to theirs, its motivating, we humans need to work for something good to keep us healthy and sane and enjoy that others are doing it that keeps our spirit up and we feel a sense of relief that some people are still trying.
If you really don't like lifting then stop doing it so much, find something other to do. But keep training a little, it keeps you healthy, makes you age more gracefully, reduces chances of death for any and all disease and sickness.
>whats the point in doing something you suck at?
If you have to ask you’ll never understand. I hate zoomers so much
wait until u find out that you need a good frame or face otherwise lifting is irrelevant
Take shrooms
>lifting
>skill
>talent
Your perspective is all that sucks here anon
You are free to do whatever you wish. No one is gonna make you continue lifting. If you wish to quit, just quit and maybe do something else.
Why do you feel like you *have to* continue lifting?
if you want to give up then give up you homosexual we have no personal investment in you getting IST just frick off to LULZ
you should lift so youre not frail and have cronic pains at 40, you dumb Black person
What is the goal of doing the thing? Why are you doing it? You have to answer that question. I doubt it's "to get good at it". Even if you did get good at it, then what? Then you've won? Then you've reached the point of being good at it? What does it matter?
