Everything useful you can get at planet fitness you can get by buying a pair of adjustable dumbells, a bench, and going for outdoor jogs. No membership required

That's why I said you youfit. They have barbell stuff unlike planet fitness

Just the pair of adjustable dumbbells costs $500. Planet fitness is only $15 a month. You could go to pf for almost 3 years for just the price of the dumbbells. And that's not including the bench or anything else.

American dollars are not worth very much, like Rupees or Zimbabwean dollars. They think they're rich as they're pushing a wheelbarrow of cash to pay for their medicine (costs like 4-5 Euros in real countries).

When they say they're on 100K picture them holding a wad of rupees in their hands.

LA Fitness is a tier above PF and most locations have squat racks or whatever. My local one is full of broccoli headed zoomers but YMMV of course.

LA fitness is way better than PF, but still sucks, its also like $60 a month if you factor in their hidden goy fees

memes aside, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to make great gains at planet fitness. If that was my only option, I wouldn't let it stop me from getting in the gym.

Because the business model is based on attracting a bunch of people that won't show up and therefore don't require investing in actual good equipment in adequate quantities. That is why they have lots of flashy cardio equipment and a million colorful small dumbbells near the entrance to impress people and a couple of barbells and a squat rack crammed in the back.

For $300 you can grab a stationary bike, and a bar with weights, along with dumbells. That's not even a lot of money without needing to go to the fricking annoying ass gym full of morons.

      don't make sense.

Then again, as an eastern europoor our gyms either look like a night club or a commie era gymnasium.

There's literal screeds on every other wall about hating people who are fit and into fitness and manifestos on every OTHER wall about DEI and no judging and eating tootsie rolls. Pretty kino. There's a sign saying you can go into the women's changing room if you want right next to the giant female symbol hanging over the entrance kek. People who don't like planet fitness are just babies who want a hug box and not a blood pumping hostile environment.

Lunk alarm goes off. Ancestral blood memory kicks in. Suddenly you're transported back to Bikernau and you just can FEEL the tower sniper's mauser being trained on your pumped up noggin.

I have a great local gym that's only about $15 per month. It's not big, but it has all the equipment any serious lifter would need. 24 hour access, no juice bar, no lunk alarm, no useless trainers. It's just a gym with lifting equipment and some TVs.

    It's fricking great.

I visited an LVAC once in Las Vegas and was blown away by the amount of gym you get for 20 bucks a month. Like, 3 floors with tons of equipment, a gigantic cardio deck with like, 5 million huge screen things on the walls in front of you with all kinds of sports, news, porn, talk shows, etc., and then one of those bar things that'll make you protein shakes after but they also had all kinds of different pre-workouts too. And it was very very clean, too. Oh yea also, big pool, hot tub, sauna, all that.

I recently moved to Canada and the closest gym to me is PF. I saw some memes about it online but I did not expect it to be so fricking gay and I say it as an unironic homosexual. Why is everything purple, so many weird rules, LUNK ALARM?? It actually activated a few times now which is just beyond annoying. It's not even about the money, I just don't want to commute to other better gyms so I'm stuck with this shit for now.

Yeah the amenities are great for $10 a month but the vibe is pretty aggressive.

the people that go there seem weird too, I assume most of them are just very new, but some just genuinely do stupid shit that I would never even think of. Like grabbing a dumbbell and working out right by the dumbbell rack therefore getting in the way of everyone trying to get dumbbells for themselves. And you'd think they'd figure it out fast once someone tries to pick up a dumbbell from the rack but nope, they just keep going.
But yes, it's still good for the price as much as I wouldn't want to admit this.

In DFW, Texas we have Fitness connection. $12 a month and a crap ton of equipment. Only downside is the people. Nothing but weed smelling blacks and ghetto Mexicans. Other than that it's okay.
