It will surprise you to know that sometimes things have more than one cause or one answer. Yes, I know this is hard to grasp with an autistic mind.
It is all of the above. You are DYEL, you have body dysmorphia, AND you are too moronic to understand the device you are glued to.
If you want to take better pics of yourself, take pictures further away (with a mirror) and zoom in. It's a quick and dirty way to have your phone use a longer focal length so you look more like the first portrait
I should note this only works if your phone has multiple lenses, as most decent phones do now. You don't need a 200mm telephoto lens or whatever it is on the newest Samsung/Apple/etc phones but you do want to get out of the 24mm lens range which is a really common default lens on smartphones these days.

I notice that in other people too, my friend's physique looks more impressive IRL than in the photos he takes.
I think it has to do with social media. We're so used to seeing insane physiques on screens/phones that an average physique looks really unimpressive on a screen.
But in real life where you're not used to seeing IFBB pro level physiques everyday even a decently good physique will look insane.
I heard frontal cameras really frick with perspective
Which one is it
Am I a DYEL or cameras are just weird?
this guy
is trolling you
the mirror is how other people see you, because of 3D vision
its true
you can also see the guy's frame looks narrower in the right pic
dysmorphia in the mirror, the camera shows us what we really are
Body dysmorphia
its bad news, but real you is on the camera
dysmorphia
Still don't know who to believe
in the mirror you see a reflection of yourself, not yourself
The camera is a skewed image of yourself. If anything the camera is worse, the reflection is still a 1:1 ratio just reversed

Nick walker is like 5 6 5 8 300 lbs. He looks small on camera for some reason but biiiig irl
Twink problems
Most phonecameras have 24mm as a default lens which is rather wide lens and makes everything smaller the further the phone they are.
Use 35mm/50mm camera lens. Those focals are near human vision
T. Photography nerd.
You're dyel in both
type of lens being used.
Youre a twink
