The way to build muscle when on roids is to life light weight, but do mass reps and do it every day. You also eat like a fricking horse.
If you do that natty you won't gain muscle, you'll overtrain and you'll get fat.
Roiders can basically do anything to build muscle, require less recovery time, and don't need to diet as strictly as nattys do. A lot of their advice is not applicable to natty lifters. The only advice that usually is any good is the same shit everyone has been saying for decades.

After almost exactly one year of lifting I just realized last week that I haven’t been going at it with the proper intensity. I’ve been sticking to the program and if it says X reps, I do them and leave it at that.
Now I’m more or less going to failure or close to it for each set and it’s absurd but it feels like an awakening. No more music or audiobooks just grinding it out. It’s only been a week but I feel more motivated and I think it’ll make a world of difference.

It’s weird to me that I didn’t realize this before. It isn’t like I wasn’t trying hard in the gym but I was doing it almost prescriptive and not really feeling it and pushing myself to the point I think you need to get to for good results.
I have to say that headphones were holding me back too. I felt like I wasn’t 100% in the moment and music and audiobooks were distracting me too much. I always lifted with headphones and I notice I’m more into it without them.
