No reason to spend that much. Even if you buy into specialized machines you would get no where that close unless you're a moron like juji who may as well be clueless without the aide of tom. I tried telling him how to set the gym up properly to not require that much money but he was so obsessed on pretending to be a commercial gym for one.
Based tomposting
Anyone know what Tom is up to?
monkey pox?
He does generic video editing now, you can check his linkedin. I also saw him post videos on cameo lol, don't know why anyone would pay for that though.
Someone needs to pay him to say tomposting shitposts that get posted often here. I doubt he wold do it but he is a israelite so for a certain price he might consider it
I always love these posts god bless
Love me some Tom posting
In all seriousness, the new gym doesn't have the charisma of Juji's earlier gyms. The garage gym was pure kino.
If I had that much money to build a "gym" the majority of it would go to an in ground swimming pool and a bathhouse
He obviously built the gym as a business write-off of some sort. He's going to be able to write off depreciation and business expenses for years. He got the 500k gym for free to make content.
this makes sense, when you have a business where your only expenditure is a phone camera and a laptop the government will try to still trillions in taxes, might as well use it to build a moronic gym instead of gifting it to the government
I agree that this was his idea but he probably makes a lot less now so I really hope he has other business ventures besides YT and grip genie.
his main business has always been Acrobolix.
and he's really more of an Instagram influencer, Tom had to push him into youtube.
Why 500k? Unless I wanted multiple people to workout at the same time on it I wouldn't spend that much
Jujimufu looks fricking disgusting
Roiders are so unaesthetic
There is a video of him working out with Eric Bughag and he gets mogged by him, and he is natty
I have a friend like Eric, mogs me and claims natty. I roll my eyes
Compare Eric at 275 to any roidtroony at 275.
Seems pretty weird that Eric has a totally different physique from the roid trannies.
People who think Eric can't be natty are losers who spend their entire teens on their computers, and don't understand how big someone can get natty if they have been active during their teens with sufficient nutrition.
I have buddies who are really jacked for being natty, because they've done sports and lifting since they were 13 and are now 30 lol.
Of course someone who was sedate up with a shit diet will think getting jacked natty is impossible.
How much do you think he would have to lose to get really shredded?
He would lose a lot of muscle mass if he cut to a low bodyfat percentage.
Your body doesn't want to carry a lot of muscle and be low fat at the same time.
Look at Nick's strenght and power cut for his contest, that's what happens if you cut to get shredded as a natty.
People on here keep posting pictures of Eric where he looks juicy, but that's just because they don't understand how much of a difference a pump + good lighting does.
considering that he is 6'1 he would have to get to the 190s to 180s. Idk why he fell so hard for the bloat meme. It's ok if he just cares about numbers and wants to maximize his lifts as much as possible. But all the coping about how better it is to be a fat powerlifter and how unhealthy and bad he felt during cuts is stupid. He looked way better and was probably 10 times healthier when he did that once cut three years ago. Now his face has aged like 10 years in one and is probably border-line diabetic
120lbs
Yeah seems like a lot of coping over Erics genes.
And also his history, he's been a fitness freak since he was a teen and was literally a D1 athlete
Very possible that he's natty. I know a rower in my team that is fricking huge from competing in rowing from a young age and some weightlifting that comes with that. He's not low bf but benches 4 plates for reps
Good b8
Shoulda saved it for a liver and heart transplant and maybe a couple hair transplants as well
If I had that much money to build a "gym" the majority of it would go to Asian prostitutes
>$500k for a home gym
listen lead is half the density of gold, but x0.00038 the price. Building a solid gold gym doesn’t make sense unless you have really stringent space concerns.
yea
Hell no, there's no reason to spend more than like a few thousand on a home gym, 1K gets you a barbell and adjustable dumbbell set with all the weight you'll ever need, another 1K gets you a power rack, adjustable bench, horse stall mats for deadlift/oly, fans for the summer and a couple other misc things like belt, straps, wraps etc.
Nah, I'd end up spending 10k tops. My home gym right now is only about 3k.
If I REALLY wanted to blow extra cash, I'd get a pool for cardio, and a hottub/sauna for recovery/enjoyment. I could blow it on dumb iso machines, but that's just wasted space in my opinion.
>half a mil top tier commercial gym in your site
>no shower/sauna
Absolute degenerate
He can just walk from his home gym to his home house and get in his home shower. Also he lives in like NC no need for a sauna just walk outside.
I can make a good gym for $2.5k, a top tier gym for $15k, and dream gym for $30k-$40k. $500k is insane and unnecessary to such an insane level. For that money I could make a personal sports complex not a fricking gym
I only need a fraction of that to make the home gym I want. Probably wouldn't need that much to open a public gym either.
I am a used equipment or make my own type of guy. So no.
Power rack, barbells, plates, dumbbell set, cable machine, GHR machine, calf raise machine. Thats it my dream home gym.
He's actually completely moronic for spending so much. The structure actually makes sense, fully finished pole-barns are extremely expensive, but even then that seems high.
The 250k on "fancy" new equipment is the dumb part. I started collecting pieces on marketplace/CL at the beginning of Covid and in the 2ish years have pretty much a parallel or rarer/better version of what he has. For all of maybe 15k-20k.
Now he has this heartless commercial looking gym with noone in it instead of creating the little mecca he probably thought he would.
MIA8AR
his old barn gym full of secondhand equipment definitely had a lot more soul. Plus tracking down pieces he wanted made for fun content, but now he can just order Ghost stuff online for full price and it's not fun anymore.
He didn't "spend" 500k on a gym as if he has 500k lying around
He went to a bank and asked for a huge mortage or business loan to build this thing as an investment. He's in debt but I'm sure he'll pay it off within 10 years.
You guys really are idiots
I dont think you understand how loaded this guy is
I didn't say it wasn't loaned, I said it was moronic what he spent the money on and what he ended up with. As mentioned, it was likely a large write off for years as well.
Still doesn't change the fact that that gym looks like a hospital with 0 soul.
Yes. It would be amazing to build out a setup like that. I wouldn’t be surprised if he spent more than that.
Juji before he started roids or after his first cycle is basically the ideal body. Been watching forever. Crazy to see him blow up in all forms lol.
I wouldn't need nearly that much and honestly I'd probably partner with my current gym owner for a larger space and more equipment for my specific interests.
i am fairly certain you could open a fricking FRANCHISE for less than that
Why not buy a building and turn it into a legit gym with that money?
he has a smaller commercial space that he was going to turn into a Grip Genie branded gym, seems to have stalled since the coof.
>Grip Genie
is this still a thing? I don't know a single grip athlete that has ever mentioned these products. Nothing beats good old fashioned farmers walks.
You mean if I had infinite money? Hmm yeah
If I was given 500k to spend on fitness instead I would just go to a fancy gym and martial arts
No
heck even if I bought 10 specialized machine per muscle group I don’t think I could even hit 100k
I remember watching the video where he got some of the machines delivered and I shit you not I'm pretty sure some of them have seats made in italian leather, it's like he was trying his hardest to spend as much as possible
the whole machine is made in italy, including the leather.
he did a tour of the showroom in italy.
kek I didn't even know that luxury gym machines were a thing, I tried looking up the price of a random Panatta machine and I get no results, that's how you know that it's really expensive stuff. Must be several thousands each
>Panatta
lmao my old gym had that and it was the most shit stuff ever. broke all the time and the machines felt shit
Yeah it’s all Panatta machines. Super expensive. Lots of gyms in Dubai have them because they’re the most expensive.
Grip Genie was Tom’s deal I think. He was a total gay and Juji doesn’t seem to care about it. That other chick owner has a gigantic ass I want to stick my head in though.
2k on a gym, rest ok the house with a giant portion going to a music studio
Yeah but it would be a basement MMA gym, not a lifiting gym.
No, I'd buy a block near my house, build a shed and start a 24 hour gym for everyone in my neighborhood to enjoy (membership necessary but cheap)
>$500k on a homegym.
No. You could open a gym for that price. Probably a few.
I don't make moronic financial decisions. Spend as little as you need anons. If you don't like, or feel tempted by, money sitting around doing nothing then go to IST /smg/
$500.000 would pay off my house, my car, let me extend my house with a garage, several rooms, another bathroom and a room dedicated to a homegym along with upgrading the equipment I already have.
How do you even build a 500k home gym, unless you are buying land in LA and building a bunker I would get how you would pay so much.
His apartment and garage gym were better for making interesting videos. Even the old videos in that commercial gym in Alabama with his buds were better. All the new videos just feel like every other bodybuilder trying to make a YT channel filming in whatever gym they go to, and it doesn't help that he doesn't have as competent an editor anymore (not even tomposting).
If he gets a decent editor (or the current one gits gud) and he goes traveling and making videos like he used to do, or gets anybody other than the same four guests he's had for the last few years, I think his channel could come back.
I wanna see this chick's feet so bad
If I had that kind of money I would spend rest of my life as NEET gymcel
No,not even 100k
Maybe MAYBE 50k TOPS
But rather Closer to 10k
I dont need a whole ass gym ffs, just weights, bars for calisthenics and a machine or 2
That's enough money to equip multiple commercial grade gyms. I live in a small EU country and I doubt they spend more than 50-100k per gym.
I don't get for what you'd spent that much, maybe if you wanted those high tech german pulley machines with electro-magnetic resistance.. Then this might even not be high enough budget.
But it's kinda pointless going that rout, it's multiple times cheaper to just use elastic bands to get better resistance curve.
>spend 500k on a home gym for my house that costs 50k
>rent house out as gym
>buy a house that isn't falling apart with said income
sure
500k? Max 5k if I wanted top notch machines and meme dumbbells.
I would spend 10k and ball out, idk what you would need to spend the rest on
>super high quality bumper plates
>high end bar
>power rack
>adjustable bench + flat bench
>cable machine
>dumbbells 10-100 lbs
>cable row machine/lat pull-down
>hamstring curl machine
>hack squat machine
>some other machine like a calf raise or something idk
too many jack squat stations?
I'd spend $50k on every piece of gear I would conceivably want and then have $450k left over.
not if it's a tax write off, either you spend the 500k on the gym or the government will take it in exchange for nothing, i'd rather have the gym
I'm not a youtube fitness icon and I wouldn't get the write-off. OP's question was "would you spend $500k on a home gym if you had the money", not "would you take advantage of literally any tax write-off you could if it meant you bought a thing instead of paid taxes". I would take the write-off and buy $500k of rotten eggs if I could, FRICK the government. But my absolute dream gym of stuff I'd actually use would never cost more than $50k.
why not make all the plates out of gold?
Yeah instead of paying 5-10k per piece for majority overseas shipped equipment I'd much rather install some kind of living quarters. He built a kitchenette and laundry room but sleeps on the floor next to the cardio, showers outside and his desk is literally just randomly set in the open. That extra money he could have saved on equipment would've gone a long way for more space and rooms, resulting in more collabs which he probably hoped.
doesn't he have a house?
No, what the frick? I'd spend like 2k on a power cage and oly weight set, maybe another g or 2 on a Nordic track and a cable machine
No, if I had 500k to blow I would buy two brand new Lamborghinis and pay two crackheads to ram them head on going max speed lmao, preferably on the lot I just both them in.
His videos are so bad now. The channel just isn't the same without Tom. Juji can't edit videos like I could. He really needs to make amends with Tom and apologize to him
>if you had the money
Sure, I guess in the context of infinite money. That gym was a S-tier moronic decision on his part though. Especially since he knew his business relationship was on its last legs. He has 10x the amount of equipment of gyms that train MULTIPLE world champions.
No.
I would never need more than a $10K home gym.
Rather have a nice house in a nice place, some money to live off, and some retirement investments
No. In the scenario where I didn't already have a home gym (I do), I'd spend $500-$1000, then invest the rest. After at most 15 years that $499k would be about $1M and I could then retire and live modestly off of the 3% interest a year. At that point I'd be free to just work out all day.
If I had frick you money I probably wouldn't just to force myself to leave the house from time to time. I m am afterall I wouldn't be leaving for work anymore and also I have some pretty bad social anxiety and need something to help push me out of my comfort zone
This guy is way too roided out of his mind, he should have went with Tom down the aesthetics route. I tried to to tell him he needs to be less roided up but he wouldn't listen to me.
Is Jujimufu israeli?
His nose looks rather suspect. Plus, the israelite fro isn't doing him any favors.
Call is an old british name, locks aren't israeli. Plus he's dumb, motivated and trusting
Oh ok then he's cool in my books now, thanks guys.
If someone has the personality of a golden retriever he's never israeli
Don’t think so. I found his website and started hanging out on the forums there back in 2004 before he made it. All the regulars there and Juji had pretty much every discussion known to man on that forum and I never heard it mentioned that he was or might be israeli. As far as I know his ethnic background is Scottish.
Jujimufu just chose his name because he thought it sounded cool.
I remember watching his tricking videos like 20 years ago
He's an American that just likes jumping and bodybuilding
Reading the replies it’s clear a lot of you are poor and only go to the gym to “work out” and get “gains”. Fricking kek.
Maggots.
I’ll let you in on some rich people secrets.
I go to the most expensive gym in my area. Not because it’s better (it probably still is better than the cataclysmically filthy shitholes you gather in) but because of the connections we make here. I’ve made well over 500k from the networking I’ve done at my gym and the golf course as well as the country club/horse races.
You low lives have no idea. Kek.
Build your fancy gyms to “work out in”
Don’t mind me, I’ll keep paying $1500 per month for mine.
It sounds like a lot to some of you paupers but the gym, like most things in my life is a business investment.
>Don’t mind me, I’ll keep paying $1500 per month for mine.
Don't worry
My strategy is similar
I work for minimum wage at "the American Club" here in Roppongi Tokyo.
I frick the rich diplomat's wives and blackmail them with covert video to earn my 6 figures
Joke's on you, I strangle hookers with my bare hands. Workout and sex for free
Fan art of Tom and Juji pre-split.
