Becouse rounding the back is only an issue for newbs, at a certain weight rounding is expected. That being said if you aren't deadlifting 600 your still a newb is Louie Simmons eyes
i don't know what they do now but they used to train GMs both rounded and arched. the theory was that holding extension is only one function of your erectors and they should be trained multiple ways.
Good mornings are turbo based. Getting good at good morning a helped cure my sciatica. Good mornings will prevent lower back injuries if done properly. You guys can deny the benefits of good mornings all you want, they are a staple in my routine and you are missing out by not doing them.
the problem is that for alot of people it's really easy to eventually build up to GMs that are the same weight or even heavier than your squat. then your squat is fucked because as soon as it starts feeling heavy you will instinctely shoot your hips backward and GM the weight up. Then it takes a long time to undo that. Alot of kids fell victim to this because Louie used to shill GMs so hard as the most important exercise.
I used to do these but once I got up to 70-75kg keeping the bar in place became really annoying so I just switched to deficit RDLs. Feels much better IMO
Dyel?
>lowbar squats be like
What exactly would snap here as long as you’re not ego lifting

Why does he not jeep his back straight?
Doesn't that make the exercise less fruitful and more dangerous?

goddamn thats pretty impressive
How heavy are we supposed to go on good mornings? I've done them 5 times & I'm up to 80kg for 13 reps. Is it meant to be half your deadlift?
