        Plant based is literally just the food pyramid. 80% grains + veggies, and 20% meats + dairy

      I'm pretty sure the percentage is in terms of calories not mass/volume. Getting 40% of your calories from carb heavy food probably means decreasing consumption of grains for most people. Getting 40% of the total weight of your food consumption from carb heavy foods would be a surprising recommendration
