    Keto works for short periods of time if you are also in a deficit. The deficit is the more important aspect.

    Also most ketards don't even do it properly. You need less than 20g of net carbs a day in order to maintain ketosis. Going over that for even one day will knock you right out of it.

    Also a decent amount of weight lost on keto is just water from your body not having any carbs. You will gain back 7lbs immediately after eating carbs again.

          I sure as hell don't feel energized if I don't eat anything and do a remotely physical workout for longer than 30 minutes. I genuinely start to feel less and less energetic to the point where I don't continue my workout as it's useless without progress.

            I'm not talking fasted workouts, though there are definite benefits there.

            Say you eat lunch at 12pm, then you workout at 6:30pm having eaten nothing else. There's no way you should feel weaker or less physically capable having not eaten anything else after lunch.

            If you do feel that way, then youre a gay who's body isn't working correctly likely due to hormonal dysfunction from inappropriate eating.

            Bodyfat is fuel. You utilize it when you don't eat. However if you have a high reliance on ingested carbs for energy, your fat adaption will be poor.

              I literally need food in order to more efficiently work out. You need food so your body doesn't go into battery saving mode. At least I do.

                I work out in the morning with my first meal being lunch. My last meal is 7pm the night before.

                My workout quality is excellent.

                You don't need more food to efficiently workout. What you need is proper mitochondrial adaption in order to utilize your own bodyfat (and glycogen) for fuel as humans are literally designed to do.

                Also what the fuck is "battery saving mode" supposed to mean? moron you literally have thousands of calories worth of fuel stored in your body.

                I lift 3x a week and boulder 3 to 4 times a week, depending. Not counting other shit like skateboarding and hiking etc.

                My last meal is as big as it needs to be to hit my desired macros, depending on what I ate for lunch and as a between-meal snack.

                You still haven't described what this so called "battery saving mode" is supposed to be, you stupid cunt.

        This is such cope lol I will admit a lot of ketards aren’t doing the diet right but here is a typical meal plan for me:

        Breakfast: 6 eggs with some cheese, sweet potatoes, spinach, small amount some bacon or other protein

        Pre lunch: yogurt, kiwi, strawberry

        Lunch: whey/creatine/beta alanine shake. 4 hours before gym. I prefer to train faded but it doesn’t work that way when you’re a wage cuck.

        Dinner: chicken breast, steamed broccoli with some melted butter/salt/pepper/garlic

        Desert: one square of very dark chocolate.

        Shitload of water all day (2-3 liters) and up to 3-4 fluid cups of coffee

        This is a cut day, and amounts to roughly 1600 cals, 24g carb, 160g protein, and 85-95g fat

    You can eat enough of the left to get fat and you can control yourself on the right to maintain or build muscle. Health is more about control than anything and while yes it's arguable that left is healthier than right, ultimately there are far more factors than just what you snack on and control is the most important.
    I'd rather eat what I enjoy and simply moderate it to the point that it's healthy. I like bacon and cream cheese, I'd prefer it over a salad any day of the week, but I wouldn't only eat bacon and cream cheese either, any diet is a scam, whether keto or vegan. Control is the most important thing.

        My cholesterol dropped on keto, also lost like 20 pounds and all of my lifts have increased, albeit slow, but at least 10-20% in the last 6 months.

        I will also say that you can get vitamins and minerals from veggies and fruit which are allowed on keto. Dumb gays like you just keep spreading this retarded meme that you’re only allowed to eat butter and bacon all day.

      Fruits should only be eaten seasonally, if at all. All fruits are modern cultivars and have been selectively bred for volume and fructose content at the cost nutritional value. Not to mention the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides which are actively taken up by the fruit if produced conventionally over organic.

    Keto is bad for you if you maintain deeper levels of ketosis over extended periods.

    How it actually works is that you eat high protein in an I.F type fashion in order to initiate gluconeogenesis and cycle out of ketosis daily.

    The carbs obtained from gluconeogenesis keep your thyroid functioning optimally, preserve electrolyte levels and keep liver and muscle glycogen levels nicely topped up.

    The keto world went wrong with the high-fat nonsense because they took their lead from medical ketosis dietary interventions traditionally utilized to treat diabetics.
