ye 5/3/1 is great for pushing your numbers up when you're at a plateau but get on volume hard after you run it to hang onto that shit or you'll just slide down again.
The smart shit is starting with something you lift 3 times, then moving up to 8 times with 5 sets then upping the weight slightly and keep progressing like that.
5/3/1 seems to call for an early ticket to snap city.
Between OHP, bench, squats, and deadlifts, OHP is by far the safest to max on. If you get back pain from OHP you're an actual retard, learn how to squeeze your quads and glutes and you'll have no problems

forget the bench. Just get on 5/3/1 for that OHP and don't skip the db assistance work, most programming calls for 5+ sets of 10.
